This document, SLCC GOALS: College Performance Update - Spring 2019 provides an update as to where we are currently with our 2016-2023 Strategic Plan Goals and Strategies. The report was presented at SLCC 360, and focuses on the following goals from the Strategic Plan: Increase in Student Completion, Improvement in Transfer Preparation Pathways, Alignment with and Response to Workforce Needs, Securing Institutional Sustainability and Capacity, and Achieving Equity in Student Participation and Completion. Strategies and measurements of success were included.

The 2019 Climate Survey was administered to SLCC faculty, staff, and students. The following questions were asked: Do you feel welcome at SLCC? Safe on SLCC campuses? That you belong at SLCC? Do you think the overall campus climate is improving, staying the same, or getting worse? Overall, how comfortable are you with the climate at SLCC? How comfortable are you with the climate in your department or office? Do you you know someone (including yourself) who has been a victim of sexual harassment or sexual assault at SLCC? were you a victim of sexual harassment or sexual assault at SLCC? Within the past two years, have you personally experienced any exclusion? Responses can be narrowed by role at SLCC, gender identity, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, division, and campus. SLCC Surveys: New Student Survey 2018

SLCC is committed to growing and improving as an institution. To better understand the goals and experiences of new students, every two years an invitation to take a confidential survey is sent to all first-time-enrolled students. Results can be filtered and number of respondents for each answer can be seen by hovering cursor over desired bar. In 2018 the response rate was 9.4% (567 responses of 6,007 survey invitations). This confidential survey is self-administered on a web link every two years by sending an invitation to the personal email address of all student who have completed a certificate or a degree over the previous academic year. Although low response rates are typical in today's survey environment and provide us some information, users should be cautious in interpreting results. Salt Lake Community College will celebrate its 75th anniversary in fall 2023. This milestone is a testament to past accomplishments and a catalyst for transforming the College in the future. By focusing on students, the plan positions the College as a foundational player in the community, a driving factor in the state economy and a leader in the evolving educational landscape. We must move forward in areas such as access, completion and equity, and collectively make progress on the goals we've set. This document outlines those goals that have been set as well as the strategies envisioned to help meet these goals. The Vision, Mission, and Values for the College are also presented in this document.
