Description
These are documentation in relation to President Jay L. Nelson. He was the second president of the College. He oversaw the transition from Salt Lake Area Vocational School to Salt Lake Trade Technical Institute to Utah Technical College at Salt Lake. His book, The First Thirty Years, documented the College’s history from 1948 to 1978. Included are documents related to presentations given by President Nelson about the College; a Brief about his professional experience, activities, political affiliation, and communication skills; and Newspaper clippings that highlight Jay L. Nelson in his different roles at the College throughout the years as well as documentation of awards given to him.
