Chairman Area Board, M. Elmer Christensen. Attended schools in Murray, Utah and the University of Utah receiving a B.S. degree in Chemistry in 1923. Served as Utah State Chemist for 35 years. President of two national professional associations and was a member of the American Chemical Society since 1934. Served as chairman of the Utah section of ACS in 1937 and as a member of the Granite District Board of Education for 16 years. Recognized as "Man of the Year" in Utah Education in 1962, chairman of the Salt Lake Technical College in Utah Education in 1962, chairman of the Salt Lake Technical College and member of the LDS Hospital Board of Trustees. Born Sept. 13, 1902 in Manassa, Colorado to Martin and Louisa Mauss Christensen. Died June 17, 2002. Married Melba Morgan August 14, 1929 in the Salt Lake Temple.
