The Salt Lake Community College Energy Institute is Utah’s premier provider of education and training for the highly skilled workforce on which our clean energy community depends. Programs are designed to accommodate both working professionals and traditional students. Coursework is completed through a combination of online learning, classroom instruction and hands-on activities. State-of-the-art equipment provides real-world experiences to better prepare students for entry or advancement in the energy workforce. Courses are taught by energy professionals who are industry leaders in their respective disciplines. Working with industry representatives, curriculum in continually reviewed to assess the need for new courses and to ensure the programming is up-to-date with industry technology, trends and applicable codes. Both credit and noncredit options are available.
The Fashion Institute at Salt Lake Community College announces its fashion show entitled Anamorphic. SLCC’s Fashion Institute has nurtured talented and bright young designers, and this year’s seniors are ready to display their beautiful creations on the runway. The 2015 show was located at The Rail Event Center.
Graduated from Utah Technical College at Salt Lake (the precursor to SLCC) Donna Salinas is considered an outstanding graduate who excelled in her chosen career and community activities. Digitization completed with funds from a 2017 USHRAB (Utah State Historical Records Advisory Board) Grant that was awarded to Salt Lake Community College, Library Services.
