Earle Smith & Captain Marcus Anderson. Oasis Nov. or Dec. 1967. Smasher 8. "I have included pictures of Smasher 8. This was a liaison section of the 6/14. I first went there (at Jackson Hole) at the end of October '67 or the beginning of November. We moved the day after I got there to the Oasis. Captain Anderson was in charge. I believe his first name was Marcus. Around January '68 I was sent to B Btry FDC and was at Soui Doi During Tet. B Btry then moved to Dak To and later to Ben Het. Around Sept. of '68 I was sent to the new D Btry at the Oasis. Our Captain was Captain Verdel." -Earle Smith. Photo by Earle Smith, 6th Battalion, 14th Artillery Regiment, RVN 1966-67.
