New Zealand Beret From Whiskey Company at Nui Dat Infantry Base Camp
The Aussie and New Zealand forces called ANZAC operated from their Nui Dat infantry Base Camp called Nui Dat in Phouc Tuy Province southeast of Saigon down highway 15 past Bear Cat. I was part of a Support detachment of ASA Intel troops providing DF and Signal intercept of VC activities from 68-69. I worked with Whiskey Company of the small NZ component quite often. That is a Kiwi beret from them. We had some unusual weapons at times but used the FN SLR most often. That is pictured here. Photo by Dave Breisch
