This is a biography of President Jay L. Nelson written at some point whilst the College was called Salt Lake Trade Technical Institute (1959-1967). President Jay L. Nelson continued to serve as President of the College through 1978. The biography highlights Nelson's academic career, his teaching experience, work experience, and his active duty in the U.S. Army as well as in the U.S. Army Reserve.

Learn to Earn: Promotional Video for UTC
A promotional movie that was created to highlight the occupational courses available at U.T.C. and provides general guidance to students related to education. The video utilizes the College slogan "Learn to Earn." The analog film is reel-to-reel in color with sound. The film is approximately 24 minutes in length. Memo to Dave Kadleck from Stave Hale regarding Incident at Skyline High School. It recounts the experience of President Jay L. Nelson attempting to attend a basketball game. The humorous recollection was not seen as a humorous situation to President Nelson for whom the only positive of the experience was that the ticket cashier new the school by the new name "Trade Tech."
