Leaders in the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN), Southern Vietnam, mapping out our night patrols and discussing different tactical zones referred to as I Corps, II Corps, III Corps, IV Corps. I Corps was the northernmost region of South Vietnam, bordering North Vietnam. II Corps oversaw the region of the central highlands region, north of the capital Saigon. Its corps headquarters was in the mountain town of Pleiku. III Corps oversaw the region of the country surrounding the capital Saigon. IV Corps oversaw the Mekong Delta region of the country.
