This newspaper clipping from the S.L. Tribune is entitled "Portrait: Jay Nelson Puts Faith in Work." The clipping includes a photograph of Jay L. Nelson in the Machine Shop at Utah Technical College at Salt Lake. The article outlines Jay Nelson's history, from working during the depression to put himself through school, to joining the Utah National Guard and being drafted for World War II. It outlines his varying work experiences through to his time at the College and includes a discussion of the financial troubles seen by the College over the years. Lastly it discusses Nelson's desire and hop that the College would be accredited by the Northwest Accrediting Association soon after the publication of this article.
