The development of this OER textbook was initiated by Salt Lake Community College to provide its students with a low-cost textbook. University of Utah and Weber State University later joined the project. These institution have cooperatively developed a rigorous text. The body of the text conforms to the College Algebra Learning Outcomes identified by the Utah System of Higher Education. In addition to those mentioned as publishers, several others have made substantial contributions creating MyOpenMath homework, video lectures, and providing technical support. At Salt Lake Community College this textbook is used for Math 1050 and Math 1060.
