Booklet style, multi-lingual dinner menu for the Friends of Escoffier is presented in a cord bound booklet with navy blue covers and grey marbled interior pages. The cover of the menu features silver imprinted text and graphics with a surrounding double lined border and with scrolled ornamental designs in the corners. A bust of a man is centered on the page with "Les Amis d'Escoffier" printed above and "Georges Auguste Escoffier, 1845-1935, the king of chefs, the chef of kings" printed beneath. The event was held at the Alta Club on March 28, 1988. The first unfolded section of the open menu is divided into two sections. The left section is a blank navy blue sheet, and the section on the right is a blank grey sheet. The second unfolded section of the menu is devoted to the set menu. The left section features menu options ranging from beef consomme with julienne beets and cheese straws, to capon breast and wild mushrooms, to lambs ear lettuce salad,and meringue with strawberries, pineapple and cream. The right side displays the wines that accompany the dinner courses. The back cover of the menu displays a list of chefs who prepared the meal, the list of service personnel and special acknowledgements to providers and the Alta Club.
