The Denver Mining Company Menu
1977
Single SheetThemed Menu
Single sheet, single-sided luncheon menu printed on beige paper with brown ink. The menu resembles an old fashioned stock certificate from the Denver Mining Company which is also the name of the restaurant. A fancy boarder surrounds the menu. A drawing of a miner with a pick standing in front of a mine shaft is found under the name of the restaurant. The address and phone number is printed in a smaller font under the drawing. The top one third of the menu is dedicated to the mining company/stock certificate theme. The word Luncheon is found in the center of the page above the menu options. The menu is divided into sections offering choices of eggs "n" omelettes, salads, appetizers, sandwiches and steaks. There are two combo meals offered. The Quick Claim with prime ribs of beef and a salad, and the Denver Lo-cal with prime rib, or chopped sirloin or halibut steak served with cottage cheese and tomato and egg. Other menu options include crab and mushroom omelette to stuffed avocado salad, to abalone steak, and the 49er sandwich. There is a random pen mark found at the center of the menu as well as five price changes scribbled out and reprinted in black ink. One of the changes has been smudged.
