These are the papers of College President Jay L. Nelson. Primarily documents donated to SLCC by Bruce Nelson, these papers include lectures, speeches, funerary remarks, and presentations given at conferences.
Photo Archives
The Photo Archives Collection is part of the digital archives of Salt Lake Community College. This collection features digitized archival photographs and slides that chronicle the history of the College.
Publications
The collection is part of the digital archive of Salt Lake Community College. The College Publications in this collection reflect the history and changes throughout the history of the College providing perspective and illustrating trends. Materials feature digitized archival documents such as yearbooks, marketing publications, and other College publications.
Scholarly and Creative Works
Starting Fall Semester 2007, SLCC invites faculty and students to submit their scholarly and creative work to our Digital Collection. This collection showcases these works.
Student Newspapers
The student newspaper for Salt Lake Community College has been published under a number of different names. The Tradesman is the earliest title found to-date and the single issue on file was published in 1959. Tech Topics was published from December 1962 until August 1973. Utah Tech News was published as a supplement to the Murray Eagle for what looks like a single issue in August 1973. Beginning in September 1973 the title became Points West until June 1987. While a new name was being sought from student suggestions the masthead for the paper read No Name Paper for four issues from September to October 1987. The new name decided upon was Horizon which lasted from October 1987 until March 2001. The student newspaper resumed publication under its current name The Globe in October 2001.
Utah Museum of Contemporary Art
This collection includes documentation of exhibitions, installations, artwork and other related materials from the Utah Museum of Contempory Art in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Vietnam War Photo Archives

The Vietnam War Photo Archives collection contains photographs collected by Bernie Weisz. These images document the Vietnam War as well as the after effects. The Vietnam War, also known as the Second Indochina War, and known in Vietnam as Resistance War Against America or simply the American War, was a war that occurred in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia from 1 November 1955 to the fall of Saigon on 30 April 1975. This war was officially fought between North Vietnam and the government of South Vietnam. The North Vietnamese army was supported by the Soviet Union, China and other communist allies and the South Vietnamese army was supported by the United States, Philippines and other anti-communist allies.
